Beginning Monday, December 2, westbound Skinner Boulevard from east of Highland Avenue to the Pinellas Trail is closing for approximately four months, weather permitting.

During this temporary road closure, motorists will have to detour around the work zone using Bass Boulevard, San Christopher Drive and Broadway. Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Access to businesses and residents to be maintained.

This road closure is necessary for crews to construct new roundabouts at Douglas Avenue and Highland Avenue as part of the SR 580 (Skinner Boulevard) Complete Streets project in Pinellas County.
