Project Details

The City Commission has consistently expressed interest in launching a downtown looper service and has allocated funding through the Community Development Business Plan Initiative (BPI) to make it happen. The initial phase involves a 6-month pilot project, fully financed by American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. In subsequent years, the project anticipates decreased financial reliance with the expectation of obtaining sponsorships and achieving success with the pilot program. The plan envisions a fixed-route looper service using eco-friendly and ADA-accessible vehicles.
